R3 Horse Show 2024

In partnership with the North Interlake Show Circuit the Red Rose Ranch is proud to kick off the first show of the season! Our combined goals are to promote attendance at all shows within the circuit, motivate competitors, promote good horsemanship and sportsmanship and collect year-end points. These classes are straightforward and a great way to test your transport, gear, and equine partner for the season:

  • Showmanship

  • English Pleasure/Hunter Under Saddle

  • English Equitation/Hunter Seat Equitation

  • Western Pleasure

  • Western Horsemanship

  • Ranch Riding

  • Barrel Racing

  • Pole Bending

  • Key Hole

We will have a canteen, merchandise, and special guests in attendance! All proceeds will go directly to the Red Rose Ranch Veterans Horse Camp (R3VHC) and will help support Military, First Responder, and Veterans attend the camp and learn the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of the equine lifestyle.

Hotel accommodations we recommend: 

Bay River Inn & Suites is located about a 15 min drive from the ranch. The Motel has 12 rooms with two Boardrooms.

R3 Horsemanship Clinic

Red Rose Ranch Veterans Horse Camp (R3VHC) is proud to host with renowned horse trainer and competitor Guy Robertson for a one day clinic. All proceeds go to support the R3VHC and will help our nation’s heroes attend the camp!

We will cover:

  • Maneuvers and Transitions

  • What the judge is looking for

  • Partial patterns 

  • Focus on Ranch Riding, Reining, and Horsemanship

Cost and Limits:

  • $150/participant. Outdoor stall and lunch included. Please secure your spot with full payment ASAP.

  • Attendance Cap is at 10 Participants.

Schedule:

  • 10am-12pm: Learning and practice

  • 12pm-1pm: Lunch

  • 1pm-3pm: Putting it all together with practice patterns 

  • 3pm-4pm: Additional time for questions with Guy

We have limited space available for overnight outdoor stalls.  Please contact us for availability.

R3VHC Fundraiser

Red Rose Ranch Veterans Horse Camp Inc (R3VHC) will have a fundraising event at the Trans Canada Brewing Co. in Winnipeg, Manitoba!

As you know, R3VHC enables Military, First Responders, and Veterans to learn the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of horsemanship.  This fundraising event will help to ensure we can provide this service and help with the logistical and operating costs of the R3VHC.

Tuesday, August 6, 2024.  6:00PM – 9:00PM

Your $30 ticket.  Includes TCB pizza buffet, silent auction access, a meet and great with our animals, and an opportunity to mingle with R3VHC participants.

R3VHC - Female Camp

Our target audience for this serial is Female only Military, First Responders and Veterans. Assisting participants that are looking for an outlet for challenges is exactly what this R3VHC can accomplish.

The five day camp is designed to provide the learner with the knowledge, techniques and skills required to understand basic riding, horse care, and stable requirements.  The camp will expose the benefits of horsemanship with our Veteran community in the hopes of teaching a new skill with amazing residual effects of stress-reduction, anxiety control, and goal setting.  The learner will receive one-on-one assistance and feedback from experienced instructors and facilitators, who are also Military, First Responders, and Veterans.

The ideal participant will be able to work in austere environments and have a positive work ethic. It is important to note that participants must be physically able to conduct manual labour, climb stairs, lift a 40lb saddle shoulder high, and be outdoors for extended periods of time. Dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated at this time.

The five day camp is designed to provide the learner with the knowledge, techniques and skills required to understand basic riding, horse care, and stable requirements.  The camp will expose the benefits of horsemanship with our Veteran community in the hopes of teaching a new skill with amazing residual effects of stress-reduction, anxiety control, and goal setting.  The learner will receive one-on-one assistance and feedback from experienced instructors and facilitators, who are also Veterans or First Responders.
