Experience

Expanding on tradition, with the creation of the family homestead in 1919 on the same section of land, Red Rose Ranch was established in 2020 as an equestrian center.  All instructors and staff have Military and First Responder backgrounds.  This enables us to serve and connect with our participants in a unique way.

We are qualified in numerous other areas that ensure quality and safety to our clients. These areas include; Emergency Action Planning, First Aid, Safe Sport, Concussion Awareness, Alberta Foothills Farrier School, and Equestrian Canada Western Rider Levels 1-4. The purpose of our program is to provide new riders with a safe and knowledgeable introduction to Western riding.

Focusing on our connections to the surrounding First Nations communities, we instill a land-based approach to all our lessons.  We have experience in running horsemanship lesson programs for people at all levels of exposure.  Based on all of this, we have created a three-phase program, focusing on adaptation, learning, and enhanced skill.  This program is called Horse Warrior Teachings.
